John Hardy

John W. (Mitch) Hardy Jr., 84 of Nassau passed away September 25th at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. John was the son of the late John W. Sr. and Jennie (Wood) Hardy. A proud Navy Veteran he served on the USS Ticonderoga Aircraft Carrier during World War II. He was a lifetime member and past commander of both the Nassau American Legion 1268 and the Chandler Young V.F.W. Post 8162.

John is survived by his; wife, Patricia Kelly; sons, John W. Hardy III of CA and James B. Hardy of Averill Park; daughters, Judy Miner of Averill Park and Joanne Guilboard of Valatie; stepdaughter, Pat Ertell of Nassau and stepson, James Goodrich of East Greenbush. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
