May Goodman

North Chatham

May Goodman, 101, of North Chatham passed away February 28th at Barnwell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. May was a strong and determined woman. She lived her life the way she wanted to with dignity and strength always following the courage of her convictions. She was a career woman working full time while raising two children on her own.

May was predeceased by her daughter, Lorna Goodman Stone as well as her longtime companion Albert O. Weaver. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Sandra Goodman of Centerville MA. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law Anita Goodman of East Greenbush NY. May was very proud of her many great grandchildren and loved hearing about their activities and interests. Additionally, May leaves behind her three grandchildren who provided her with great joy as she watched them grow, marry, and have families of their own. Talking about her grandson Kenneth (Marilu) of Dunedin FL, granddaughter Diane (John) Lawatsch of Penfield NY and grandson Brian (Tracy) of East Greenbush NY was an especially important part of her days as her health declined during her final months.
