Obituary of Robert J. Edmonds

Robert J. Edmonds, 80, of Nassau, died May 20th at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. Robert was born in Whitehall NY to Edward and Doris (Griffith) Edmonds. He worked as a self-employed truck driver, a dispatcher for Hess oil and after retiring, as a part time maintenance man for Hudson River Bank until 1995. Robert was very involved in his community as a life member of the Nassau Sportsman Club and the Elks Club Kinderhook Lodge 2530. He was also a member of the Nassau American Legion Booster Club and the Chandler Young V.F.W. Post 8162 Men's Auxiliary.
Robert is survived by his; wife, Ruth A. Edmonds; son, John H. (Mary) Edmonds; daughter, Roberta R. (Steven) White; grandchildren, Faith Davis, Heather White, and John C. Edmonds. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter Hannah White.
Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau, Wednesday May 26th at 11:00 am. Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 4-7pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
