Ann Kneiper

Ann M. Kneiper, 95, of Valatie, formerly of Nassau passed away at Barnwell Nursing home on September 26, 2015. Ann was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nassau and a member of the St. Mary's Rosary Alter Society. She was also a member of the Chandler-Young VFW Post 8162 Ladies Auxiliary. Ann will be most remembered in Southern Rensselaer County as Nassau's Flower Lady. She and her late husband Jim owned and operated "Kneiper's Flowers" for many years. Ann was predeceased in death by her parents and siblings; Felixa Tinkle, Helen Richardson, Wesley Kissel, Raymond (Buddy) Kissel, Elizabeth (Babe) Barber and husband James Francis Kneiper Jr. She is survived by her children; Rosanne McConnell, Linda Policella, James Francis Kneiper III and John Kneiper, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Mary's Church in Nassau on Thursday Oct. 1, at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Nassau. Donations in Ann's memory may be made to the Nassau Hose Co. #1 P.O.
