Scenic, AZ- Ann Marie Burke, 83, of Scenic, AZ passed away, on Friday, January 17, 2025. Ann Marie graduated from Troy High School (NY) in 1960 and went onto work as a homemaker, teacher’s aide, and childcare professional. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Troy, NY and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. In the last few years, she had come to enjoy doing crafts at a day program in Mesquite. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, physical activities, and lunch there.
Ann Marie was predeceased by her parents and husbands, Theodore Darling, William L. Purtell, and Louis Burke; her brothers, Charles W. (Mary) Walker Sr. and Edward J. (Nancy) Walker. She is survived by her children, Linda A. (formerly Coonrad) Darling of Scenic, AZ and Theodore F. (Jamie) Darling, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Scott C. (Shi) Coonrad, Clarissa M. Coonrad, Brittany (Ben) Smith, Taylor (Elise) Darling, and several step-grandchildren from Thomas Coonrad; her great-grandchildren, Aiyanna, Khye, Linkin, Ruth, and Hattie.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
The family would like to thank the staff of Comfort Care Hospice in Mesquite, NV for their compassionate care of Ann Marie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann Marie’s memory to Mesquite, NV Day Respite Program.
