Anne M. Devlin, 74 of Nassau passed away May 12, 2012 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany to the Late Adelbert and Alice (McNally) von Maucher she is the beloved wife of Theodore A. Devlin. Coming from Albany Anne had been a resident of Nassau since 1957. She retired from Verizon after 24 years of service and was also Co-Owner of the former Homestead Restaurant in Nassau. Anne belonged to the Telephone Co. Pioneers, Kinderhook Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and the Chandler-Young VFW Post 8162 Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband Anne leaves her son, Jay P. (Beth) Devlin of Nassau, brother in law Vincent Devlin of Stephentown, sister in law Agnes Carpenter of Mims FL, her dear friend Marcia Conroy of Albany, cousins Helen Van Amburgh of Albany and John Hanssen of North Chatham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her sister Joan E. von Maucher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday May 15, 2012 at St. Mary's Church, Church St. Nassau at 11:00am. There will be no calling hours, interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Nassau Hose Company #1 P.O. Box 42, Nassau NY 12123.
