Babe Wiese, 67, of Nassau passed away at the Stratton VA Medical Center on Dec. 18, 2017. Babe was a lifelong resident of Nassau and was predeceased by his parents Herman and Albina Wiese. He was an Army Veteran, former Army Recruiter and was previously employed by the town of Nassau. He was also a member of the Chandler-Young Veterans Association in Nassau. Babe was an avid outdoorsman, loved his dogs and could often be found mowing his lawn even if it had already been mowed earlier that day. Most of all Babe loved spending time with his many friends and extended family. He is survived by his longtime companion Suzanne Hoffman; brother, Walter Wiese; stepdaughters, Kimberly (Tony) Tafur, Kelly Hoffman, Kathy (Dan) Felts and Jami Ashley; stepson, Jim (Genet) Hoffman; grandchildren, Josh, David, Katie, Jenn, Michael, Courtney, Cody, Jordan and Cameron; great grandchildren, Paisley, Jameson, Logan and Braxton. He is also survived by his nephews Brian and Paul. A memorial service will be held at the Chandler-Young Veterans Association, 7 Lyons Lake Road, Nassau on Saturday at 3:00pm.
