Bruce Brian Michael Sayers, (1947-2011), passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Sunday evening after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 4, 1947 in New Lebanon, New York to his parents

Herbert Robert Sayers and Rosemary Shurtleff Sayers, Bruce was raised in East Nassau with his nine siblings. He worked as a union carpenter from the age of seventeen until 1976, when he became a logger and entrepreneur. Bruce owned and operated his logging and firewood business until his retirement. His hobby and passion was restoring and showing his 1948 Studebaker truck, which he had won numerous trophies with at regional events.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife Janet Susan Sayers, his daughter April Marie Wilson, his son William Allan Sayers, his sisters Mildred Palmieri, Sandra Comuglia and several nieces and nephews.
