Charity Lynette Shuhart was suddenly called home on October 8th, 2018. Charity was born on July 9th, 1984 and grew up in East Greenbush and Castleton, NY. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Shuhart and the love of her life and best friend, Gary Grant. She is survived by her 5 beautiful children whom she loved with all her heart: Anthony Spring, Austin Spring, Devin Spring, William Smith and Emma Shuhart. She is also survived by her mother Eva Shuhart, her two older brothers Cyril Shuhart and Greg Mainville and her younger brother Edward (Camden) Shuhart, her grandparents; Rose and Cyril Shuhart, Gail and Bill Freeman, many aunts and uncles; Lisa Freeman, Billy Freeman, William Shuhart, Kyle Shuhart, Ronald Shuhart, Heather Shuhart Durham, Rick Folmsbee-Nash, Rose Cimini and many other extended family members as well.
Charity was a kind, sweet and genuine woman. She always had a smile or compliment for someone and it didn't matter if she knew you or not. If someone was having a bad day or needed advice she was always there to listen and help. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends the most. She loved doing her makeup and hair, being outdoors, socializing, catching up with friends, smoking her Newports and drinking her favorite soda, Pepsi.
Charity, the moment that you left, our hearts were split in two. One side was filled with memories, the other side died with you. We often lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep and take a walk down memory lane with tears upon our cheek. Remembering you is easy, we will do it every day, but missing you is a heartache that will never go away. We will hold you tightly within our hearts and there you will remain. You see life has gone on without you but will never be the same.
There will be a viewing for friends and family on Monday, October 15, from 1 pm - 3 pm at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau. Interment will follow in the Horizon View Cemetery in Castleton. Online condolences may be offered at mooneyfuneralhome.com
