Delores Bissett Carpentier passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor on January 12, 2011 after a long illness. Born on October 15, 1927 in New Brunswick, N.J. daughter of the late Mildred Birmingham and George K. Bissett. Delores Attended N.J.C. College for Women in New Brunswick. She worked from 1945 to 1948 at E.R. Squibb and Sons and at the Albany Med. School in 1954. She was an accomplished tap and acrobatic dancer.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years Donald C. Carpentier, her children, Linda Covert, Ellen Cypher, Donald G. Carpentier and James P. Carpentier. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There will be no viewing or services at this time. A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions my be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Pine West Plaza Building 4, Suite 405 Washington Ave. Ext. Albany NY 12205.

The family wished to extend sincere thanks to all employees of Van Rensselaer Manor who devoted such wonderful and loving care over the years.
