Desiree Plue

Desiree Nicole Plue, 27, of Rensselaer passed away after a long illness on June 19, 2015 at home with her devoted sister Jordan by her side. She was born in Nassau and is survived by Harold Plue IV and their three beautiful children, Austin, Allianna and Harold V. She also leaves behind her father Daniel Bowman (Lynn) who she always called her best friend, her mother Patty Hempstead, her loving sister Jordan Bowman and her "second mom" aunt Kathi who helped raise her. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Desiree enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to bake, practice arts and crafts and play bingo. She had attended Austin's School of Spa Technology and used her knowledge to do hair and makeup for the players at Proctor's Theatre. The family would like to give a special thanks to her loyal and loving friends Kaelyn and Allison who have always been by her side and to her loving friend Jon who helped her during this journey. They would also like to thank the staff at Albany Medical Center D4 Cancer ward for the love and compassion they showed and to the Community Hospice for all of their help and support. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Friday June 26, at 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
