Donald G. Reckner, 73, of Nassau passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy he was the son of the late George and Eleanor Reckner. Donald began working at the age of 12 on his uncles farm and was a truck driver for most of his adult life. He was a family man who loved passing the time and joking with his relatives. He enjoyed camping with his wife Joan and traveling to watch the stock car races at Lebanon Valley Speedway, Stafford Motor Speedway and Thompson Speedway. Donald was predeceased in death by his son, Russell Reckner; brother, Bill Reckner and his sister Peg Piche. He is survived by his loving wife Joan Reckner; daughter Debbie (Butch) Crandall; Sister, Suszie Kendell; daughter-in-law, Laura Reckner; sister-in-law, Ginger Reckner; brother-in-law Bill Piche; grandchildren Steven (Bobbie) Crandall, Stephanie (Matt) Gardner, Alana Lavoy and Alivia Reckner; great grandchildren, Nicholas Gardner and Aiden Crandall.
