Doris Smith

Smith, Doris M. (Allison) (Lindeman). Doris M. Smith, 80, of Nassau passed away peacefully after a long illness with her family by her side and is now in the arms of the angels where she joins her parents, Adolph and Elsie Lindeman, and the two loves of her life, John A. Allison and Donald D. Smith. Born April 3, 1933, Doris loved to spend time with her family, traveling, going to the Sr. Center and the casinos. Doris leaves behind her four loving children: Diane (Art) Burl, Patty (Loyal) Burl, Cathy (Rick) LaVoy, and Jack (Theresa) Allison; her eight grandchildren, Art (Amy) Burl, Bob (Ann) Burl, Dan (Chas) Burl, Cathy (Scott) Slattery, Laura (Russ) Reckner, Krystal Burl, Kim LaVoy and Katie Allison; eleven great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild, her brother Adolph (Jenny) Lindeman and her dear friend Jeanne Leininger. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, Saturday Feb. 15th at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday Feb. 14th from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Interment, Nassau Cemetery. The family would like to send out a special thanks to Erin, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Whitney and Gerry of the Rensselaer County Hospice.
