Elmer W. Clark 89, of Nassau NY passed away peacefully at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn on Friday March 23, 2012. Born in Nassau, Elmer served his country in the United States Army in Germany during World War II. Mr. Clark was employed by the Fort Orange Paper Company for more than fifty years before retiring in 1994.
Elmer is predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years Patricia Marie Hunter Clark. He is survived by his sons; Nicholas E. Clark (Faith) of Nassau and Paul A. Clark (Beth) of Nassau, grandchildren; Nicholas E. Clark Jr., Steven M. Clark, Gina M. Clark and Sarah B. Clark all of Nassau and Shaun B. Clark of Schodack and great grandson, Benjamin J. Clark of Schodack. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews. In addition to his wife he is predeceased by his sister Emma Coonradt (Richard) and his dear friend Phyllis Drowne.
Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, Sunday March 25 at 3:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 1-3pm. Interment Nassau Cemetery. Donations in Elmer's memory may be made to The Community Hospice of Albany County 315 South Manning Blvd. Albany NY 12208.
