Lester, Evelyn A. A long and remarkable life came to a peaceful conclusion on Sunday , November 22, 2015. Evelyn A. Lester , born in Hudson N.Y. on March 20, 1914 embarked on her journey to be reunited with her beloved husband Jim, her great grandson Lil Jim and many others whose lives she touched in her 101 years. Evelyn is survived by a sister , Wilma Smith, her daughters in whom she inspired great devotion, Jacqueline (Peter) Mesko and Linda (Jesse) Carey. Their incredible devotion is a testament to a life well lived. Grandchildren James (Michele) Mesko, Jacqueline (Chuck) Sheffer, Karen (Mike) Duncan,

Victoria (Craig) Peterman and John (Kim) Mesko , with whom Nan shared a special bond. Evelyn's great grandchildren were a source of unending pride and joy for her;

James (Lil Jim) Mesko, Ryan(Kendra) Mesko, Jesse Madison Carey, Ashley(Andrew) Dunham, Kelly Duncan, Alexandra and Andrew Peterman, Isabella Mesko…..we love you Nan, we will miss you…..

Evelyn was fortunate enough to enjoy the company of her great-great granddaughter, Kensington James,

Who never failed to bring a smile to Nan's face.

Rest in peace , Nan, til we meet again. Funeral from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, on Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 1:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Interment in Nassau-Schodack Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Evelyn's life at the Mesko residence at
