Nassau, Gladys Ozga, 96, of Nassau passed away at home on June 3, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore J. Ozga. Gladys was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Nassau for many years. At one time she ran a dog kennel and bred many dogs. Gladys was most known for her work as a Family Care Parent for N.Y. S. for 32 years. She took many people into her home over the years to care for them and was awarded the Family Care Parent Of The Year by the State, an award she was very proud of. She is survived by her sons, Lawrence T. (Linda) Ozga of Nassau and Aaron Ozga of Nassau; daughters, Alicia (John) Evans of Wynantskill and Teresa (Steve) Law of Tallahassee FL; brother, James Hamm of Corinth. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home Tuesday June 7 at 9:15am and St. Mary's Church in Nassau at 10:00am for the Funeral Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery in Nassau.
