Graham Patrick Tefft

August 29, 1950 — March 19, 2025

Nassau- Graham Patrick Tefft, 74, of Nassau, NY, passed away on March 19, 2025, in North Adams, MA, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on August 29, 1950, in Hudson Falls, NY, Pat graduated from Hudson Falls High School and went on to study at Adirondack Community College before earning his bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. He spent his career in public service, dedicating much of his time as an abuse investigator for Living Resources. Early on, he also worked alongside his wife, Bette-Jean "B-J" (Montemurro) Tefft, helping at-risk youth in a Boys & Girls program.

Music was Pat's lifelong passion. A dedicated member of the Capital Region's music community, he played in several bands and found joy in sharing music with others. He especially loved Nassau Free Library's open mic nights, where he performed and encouraged fellow musicians to share their talents. Whether he was building cigar box guitars, front row at outdoor concerts, chaperoning school trips, coaching games, or cooking for family and friends, Pat's kindness and generosity were at the heart of everything he did.

Pat is survived by his mother, Peggy S. Tefft; children, Noah Tefft and Lucy (Josh) Tefft; cousins, Ellen Menara and Micki (Tim) McMurray, and their son, Sean; sister-in-law, Susan Mascia; nephews, Robert (Erin) Williams and Matthew (Laurel) Mascia; niece, Tracy (Chris) Kennedy; two grandnephews, five grandnieces, and his beloved cat, Little Kitty 2nd.

Pat's family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy of kindness, music, and service will live on in the many lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held a time to be announced on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm Street Nassau, NY 12123. Further details will be announced on Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home website and in a publication of the Times Union, at a later date.
