Iris Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Iris Rose Williams, age 65, of East Nassau after a brief illness. She passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on January 26, 1960, Iris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was always at the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Marie Ebere, and her husband, Ronald Williams Sr. Iris is survived by her children, Ronald Williams Jr. (Noel), Amanda (Bryan) Bent, Lisa Williams, Shawn (Jess) Williams, and Clayton Williams. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Fred Ebere, Jerry Ebere, John Ebere, Audrey Whitt, and her companion, Edward Baldauf. Iris was a proud and loving grandmother, "Nana," to Britney (James), Dominic, Abigail, Allyssa, Grace, Ethan, Zoe, Baby Harper, Ella, Clayton Jr., Talan, Bentley and Lola. Great-grandmother to Baby Ronald, Haylee and Rylee.

In addition to her family, Iris found great joy in gardening, ceramics, and spending time outdoors during the summertime. Her love for life, her warmth, and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Iris's family on Thursday, April 10, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123. A eulogy will be offered at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment in East Nassau Cemetery.
