Jeremiah Thomas Blunnie, 82 of Nassau, died Thurs. May 14, 2015 at home surrounded by family.
Born August 21, 1932 in South Bronx, N.Y to Irish immigrants, John Blunnie and Mary Margaret Supple.
He was a Marine Corps Veteran and a member of the AMVETS. Mr. Blunnie worked as a refrigeration specialist and a commercial painter.
He loved horse racing and golf but above all else loved his family, he was a devoted father and
Grandfather.
Jeremiah is survived by five children: June Patricia Williams (Ed) ,of Gainesville, Fla., Peter Linnenkamp (Susan) of Orlando, Fla., and Robert Linnenkamp (Lauralee)of Gainesville, Fla., Patricia Santana (John), and Elizabeth Freemantle (Chris),of Nassau, NY.,
five grandchildren, Alex Williams of Gainesville, Fla, Christopher and Lois Freemantle and Tessa and Sebastian Santana of Nassau.
Services will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123, Monday, May 18, 2015. Calling hour from 10:00am to 11:00am with the funeral service commencing at 11:00am, a military burial will follow at Nassau-Schodack Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nassau chapter of AMVETS or to the Community Hospice.
