John Schuman

Schuman, John H. Jr. Nassau- John H. Schuman Jr., 63, of Nassau passed away at home on July 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. John was the son of the late John Sr. and Dorothy Schuman and the loving husband and best friend of Cheryl Schuman. John was a second generation owner and driver of several race cars through the years and was the owner of Ultra Lube in Nassau. He will be missed dearly by his many friends and acquaintances he met over the years at Ultra Lube and while racing. In addition to his loving wife Cheryl he is survived by his brothers, Nicholas (Bonnie) Schuman and Robert Schuman; sisters Linda (Joel) File and Ruth Bombard; step-daughter Melissa ( Mandrel) McLeod, two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John may not have had any children but he is also survived by Jeff Watson "the boy", whom he loved like a son. A Funeral Service will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Sunday at 4:00PM. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 1-4PM. Everyone is invited to a reception immediately following the service at the Chandler Young VFW Post, 7 Lyons Lake Road in Nassau.
