Joseph P. Miaski, Jr.

Joseph P. Miaski, Jr. 83, of Nassau passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on April 22, 2024. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Sr. and Dorothy (Houser) Miaski and was a longtime Nassau resident. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a talented gardener and enjoyed growing vegetables and spent many hours mowing his lawn including anything else that may have been in his path. Joe cherished his time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Barbara A. Miaski (Vincent); children Joe (Bonnie) Miaski, Dave (Mary) Miaski and Lori (Tim) Freemantle; grandchildren Tim (Bailey) Freemantle, William Miaski, Tom Freemantle, Dylan Miaski, Andrew Miaski and Austin Miaski. He is also survived by his great granddaughter Freyja Miaski and his siblings Dorothy Van Nederynen, Michael Miaski and Janet Statile.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joe's family on Wednesday, April 24 from 3-6 p.m at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau.
