Kristine C. Greco, 20, of Nassau passed away May 27, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Albany, NY she is the daughter of Linda Burkart and Augustine Greco. A 2010 graduate of New Lebanon High School. She went on to attend Hudson Valley Community College where she made high honors. Kristine immersed herself in sports and activities while in high school. She loved to play softball and basketball, played the saxophone and rode English at Country Gentleman Stables for years. While at Hudson Valley she showed her talent on the Golf team. Kristine loved to vacation at the beach. She has visited the Hamptons, Jersey Shore, Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, Cancun, Jamaica and had a special Make-A-Wish vacation to Hawaii. Kristine had a true love for country music, enjoyed many concerts and listening at home as well. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her sisters, Katie (Brad) Bovee and Jamie Greco (fiancé-Eric Boucher), grandparents, Mario and Eleanor Greco, and Patricia Burkart (William Burkart-predeceased), five uncles including her godfather Marty Greco (Annie), (James Burkart-predeceased, Barbara)), godmother, Linda Sabey, a niece Rozelle Bovee, other nieces, and several cousins. She is also survived by her dog Pierre', love of her life and her beautiful circle of friends whom have been by her side. Kristine's final wish was to donate her corneas to Jared Lyons Eye.

A Celebration of Kristine's Life will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St., Nassau, NY on June 2, 2012 at 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the Celebration from 4-7pm. Many foundations and charities helped Kristine with wonderful gifts and outings during her battle. Her wish to her mother and father is to do the same for needy children also fighting cancer. Donations in Kristine's memory and in lieu of flowers may be made to:
