Lois M. Truax, 76, of East Nassau passed away November 19, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in East Berne NY she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Pitcher) Carl. Lois was co-owner of the Jewelry Repair Center in Schodack along with her husband Bill. Lois was the "whole show" in the jewelry store and will be missed greatly by all of her employees and customers. She was a wonderful wife and mother, had an outstanding sense of humor and was very hard working. Lois loved most everyone and everyone loved her. She especially loved children and was the writer of five excellent children's books.

In addition to her parents Lois was predeceased by four siblings. She is survived by her loving husband William Truax, sons, Keith and Neal Truax, sisters, Glennis, Avis, and Jan, brother, Frank. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel, Carl and Sasha. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 4:00-7:00pm. There will be no funeral service at this time. It will be a different world now for all who knew Lois, especially for her husband, children and grandchildren. Heaven is the only place for her now.
