Lucy L. French, 89, of North Greenbush, died June 20, 2011 at Northwoods at Rosewood Gardens. Born in Stephentown NY to Albert Sr. and Grace (Williams) Weaver she lived most of her life in West Lebanon before moving to Brunswick in 1983 and finally to North Greenbush in 2005. Lucy was a homemaker and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was known to cook for anyone that came through her door.

Wife of the late Leo C. French she is survived by her; daughters, Evelyn (William) Morris of Melrose, Emily French of Pittsfield MA, and Leona (Bruce) Stevens of Mechanicville; brothers, Wilbur of Chicago IL, Shirley of Colonie, Frank of Rensselaer, Leo of Stuyvesant, and William Weaver of Ghent; sisters, Josephine Newman of Valatie, Pauline Brazie of East Nassau, and Vivian Weaver of Valatie. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Lucy was predeceased by her brothers Albert Jr. and Gilbert Weaver and her sisters Katherine Keefe and Ruth Yerden.

Funeral from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau Thursday, June 23 at 10:30 am and the Immaculate Conception Church, 732 U.S. Rt. 20 New Lebanon NY at 11:30 am where a Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 10:30 am prior to the service. Interment in Cemetery of the Evergreens New Lebanon.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Northwoods at Rosewood Gardens for their care and compassion over the years.
