Mark Vogel, 51, of Rensselaer passed away March 22, 2015 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's hospital after a long illness. Born in Albany to Richard J. and the late Phyllis A. Vogel he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Vogel was employed by Hamilton Printing Company as a printer for 15 years, was a self employed business owner of Marks Painting and Repairs and most recently worked for the Schodack Central School District. Mark was a loving family man and an avid fisherman. In addition to his father he is survived by his loving Fiancée Deborah Essenter, son Mark Vogel, daughter Phylicia Vogel, brothers, Richard, John and David Vogel, sisters, Patricia May and Susan Culhane. He was the loving grandfather of David and Julianna and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Mark also leaves his longtime friends Dominic Tricozzi and Stewart Williams. The family would like to thank St. Peter's Oncology and Radiation as well as the staff at the Hospice Inn for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Wednesday March 25th at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
