Martin Paige, 73, passed away March 19, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Edward and Laura (Glassman) Paige. Mr. Paige enlisted in the Army in 1961 and upon is discharge went on to work at the Watervliet Arsenal from which he retired in 1999. Marty was an extensive collector and builder of model cars and railroads and also enjoyed attending numerous classic car shows. He enjoyed going to the movies and was an avid reader, especially of history books from which he retained a wealth of knowledge. Marty was a generous man constantly giving people books, model cars, and donating money to the Nassau Hose Company.

He is survived by his cousins, Selma

Barr of the Bronx and Libby Kamph of Howard Beach. He will be missed by his friends and acquaintances.

Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau on Friday March 23rd at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Nassau. Donations in Martin's memory may be made to the Nassau Hose Co. #1, P.O. Box 42 Nassau NY 12123.
