Mary Peak

Peak, Mary Alice Nassau- Mary Alice Peak, age 84, passed away only a month and a half after her husband, peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, April 28, 2018. She was currently living in Nassau, NY but was formally from Colonie, NY, Winter Haven, FL and Argyle, NY. Her maiden name is Cardinale, and she grew up in Catskill, NY with 8 siblings. Always physically active, as a teenager she led the Catskill Parade as head Majorette. After her husband retired she learned to golf so they could play together and became excellent at the game. She loved people and was always fun to be around. She could do anything with her hands and even after two serious strokes she started drawing and painting. She was a devoted wife of 65 years. Mary Alice is survived by her 4 children: Brad (Susan) Peak, Susan (John) Scalisi, Karen Peak (Donna) and Nancy (Michael) Gorman; 10 grandchildren, Joshua, Shane (Lisa), Devon (Robyn) Scalisi, Katie (Brian), Rebecca and Emily Peak, Sadie (Aaron) Wheeler, Cara, Nigel (Guin) and William Gorman; 5 great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Heleena, Emmerie, Lana, Greta and 2 step great grandchildren, Grant and London. There will be no memorial service, but a burial of her ashes mixed with her husband's will take place at a later date.
