Mary Smith

Mary F. Smith, 69, lifelong Nassau resident, passed away at Albany Memorial Hospital. Mary was a homemaker and member of The Nassau American Legion Post # 1268 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by sons Clayton J. Stanley of Troy and Carl H. Stanley of Poughkeepsie, daughters Christine A. Piasnik of East Greenbush and Catherine Lester of Gainsville, FL, a brother Michael D. Desmond of Columbia SC, sisters Carol Desmond of North Chatham, and Elizabeth Desmond of North Charleston, SC, long time companion William Bryant of Kinderhook, four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The Nassau American Legion Post # 1268 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a service for Mary on Saturday at noon at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St., Nassau from 10:00 to noon prior to the service.
