Mitchell Passino

Mitchell J. Passino Jr., 80, of Valatie formerly of Nassau passed away on February 6th at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Home in Pittsfield MA. Born in Elizabethtown N.Y. he was the son of the late Mitchell J. Sr. and Lena (St. Clair) Passino and loving husband of the late Theresa Passino. Mitchell was a Korean War Navy Veteran who served his country proudly before being honorably discharged. Mitchell was also a past Post Commander of the Nassau Chandler-Young V.F.W. Post 8162. His enjoyment came from visiting Atlantic City and going camping.

He is survived by his son Mark J. Passino of Nassau, daughter in law, Bonnie Passino of Valatie, brothers, Lawrence J. of Nassau and Glenn P. of Rensselaer, and brother-in-law Archie Mosley. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Michele Govertsen, Melissa Passino, Monica Devito, Mitchell Passino IV, Mark Passino Jr., Katie Passino, and six great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his son Mitchell J. Passino III as well as several brothers and sisters.

Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau NY on Saturday February 15, at 5:30pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:00pm - 5:30pm. Interment will take place in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery in East Schodack.
