Muriel Protko

Muriel E. Protko 90, of Nassau, born on May 30, 1923 passed away on Sunday March 16, 2014 at her brothers' home after a long illness. She was born in Albany to the late Walter and Jessie (Brew) Latham. Muriel was employed at B.T. Babbitts in Albany for several years and then retired to be a homemaker.

Wife of the late Joseph V. Protko, mother of the late Joseph R. Protko; sister of Donald Latham and of the late Anita Stoffels, Walter Latham, and Loretta Hirsch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Thursday March 20th at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 19th from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery in Nassau.
