Noreen Dambrosi

Nassau- Noreen J. Dambrosi, 69, of Nassau passed away at Albany Medical Center on February 7, 2025. Born in New Hampshire to the late Curtis and Lorraine VanAuken she was raised in East Schodack and has lived nearly her entire life in this area.

After graduating high school Noreen joined the United States Airforce and was honorably discharged. She was very proud of her accomplishment of being the first female in New York State to be hired by the NYS Department of Transportation as a driver. She enjoyed attending historical reenactments with her family, camping, attending Van Runs (a car show for vans) with her van where she won several awards, and panning for gold with her husband with whom she was a member of the L.D.M.A.

She is survived by her loving husband William Dambrosi; sons, Ian (Cheyanne) and Eric VanAuken; sisters Denise, Diane, and Ginger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
