Patricia M. Killeen, 91, of Nassau passed away peacefully at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes on Jan. 19, 2018. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Grace Germond. Patricia was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. Pat practiced nursing in various capacities, retiring in her 70’s as Head Nurse at Barnwell Nursing Home, Valatie. She loved spending time with her family and being of service to others. She volunteered throughout her life for many organizations including the North Chatham Library, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Castleton Elementary School and Barnwell Nursing Home following her retirement. Pat loved to read and was always sure to have a book nearby! She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh J. Killeen. She is survived by her sons, John D. (Susan) Killeen and Christopher (Jackie, deceased) Killeen; daughters, Mary K. (Tom) Donnelly, Amy T. (Bill) Callan; grandchildren; Kelly A. Killeen, Katie Donnelly Gibson, Casey Donnelly Gicewicz, Tristan W. Callan and Zachary S. Callan; great grandchildren Patrick and, soon to be born, little sister Margaret. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at both Hawthorne Ridge, where she lived 5 years, and Eddy Village Green, 2 years, for their kindness and dedication. Funeral from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Monday at 9:15am and at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church in Nassau where a Funeral Mass will be offered.
