Paul V. Thompson, 70, of East Nassau passed away March 15, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Troy to Frank Thompson and the late Lois Etue, Paul started his career at an early age and served in the United States Navy for twenty four years before retiring. Paul was co-owner with his wife Jane of Thoms Diner in Nassau where many locals could be seen solving the world's problems over a cup of coffee. He also owned a boat launch and rented boats so that people could come and enjoy themselves by fishing of Tsatsawassa Lake. Mr. Thompson loved gardening, cooking, and mowing his lawn up on the hill. He was an avid Nascar, Duke, Celtics and Redskins fan.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Jane Thompson of East Nassau, former wife Annette Nolett of Quebec, Children, Nicole (Jay) Marshall, Paul Thompson Jr., Daniel (Brandie) Thompson all of Virginia, Colleen Thompson of Quebec, Timothy (Heather) Thompson of East Greenbush, Melanie Thompson of West Lebanon, Frederick E. Fuchs of Hudson, William A. Fuchs of W. Lebanon, Jon D. Fuchs of W. Lebanon and Elizabeth J. Pinkowski of Stuyvesant. Sister, Lynn (Michael) Redmond of N. Carolina, brothers, Phillip (Barb) Etue, James (Stacy) Etue, and William (Linda) Etue all of East Nassau, twenty two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. All are invited to a brief memorial at the family home, 365 Tsatsawassa Lake Road East Nassau, March 23 at 2:00pm with a time of fellowship to follow at the Chandler-Young V.F.W. Post 8162 on the corner of Lyons Lake Road and Rt. 20 in Nassau at 3:00pm.
