Robert Bingham

Robert W. Bingham, 77, of Nassau passed away on Feb. 6, 2017. Bob was born in Kinderhook to the late Walter and Rachel Bingham and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He served on the USS Independence and USS Leyte before entering civilian life and going to work for Montgomery Ward for 21 years. Following his work at Montgomery Ward Bob became a dairy farmer for 8 years and eventually went to work for the Ichabod Crane Central School District from which he retired after 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife Diane Bingham of Nassau, brother, Carl (Mary Jane) Bingham of Ghent and sister Shirley (Gene) Meyers of Mesa AZ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Friday at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm. Interment will be in the Nassau-Schodack Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Nassau Reformed Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 495, Nassau, NY 12123.
