Robert B. Wilson, 92, of Nassau passed away on January 24, 2015 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. Born in Cohoes, he served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Colorado during WWII. He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Horological Institute where he learned watch-making and later became a Master jeweler. Mr. Wilson also owned and operated the Nassau Hardware Store from 1958-1964 and was a longtime school bus driver for the EGCSD. Robert served his community as a former member of the Nassau Hose Co. #1 and the Nassau Rescue Squad. He loved to spend time in the Adirondacks at his camp, enjoyed the sport of fishing, and was a wonderful mentor to his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Josephine Wilson, sons; Ronald (Sue) Wilson, Donald (Marian) Wilson, stepson, Jim (Anne) Becker, stepdaughters, Chris (Mike) Shepardson and Barbara (Dwight) McKenna. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date.
