Hudson-Roxanne Ciaccia, 54, of Hudson NY died Tuesday morning at the Barnwell Nursing and Rehab Center in Valatie. She was the daughter of the late John and Huldah Chase Homeyer and the wife of the late James B. Ciaccia. Roxanne lived in Hudson for the past 6 years moving here from Westerlo. Roxanne was employed as an assembler for Biomedica Corp. in Kinderhook. Roxanne led a simple life and had loved to ride motorcycles with her husband James before his passing.
Roxanne is survived by her daughter, Mary (Jody) Lauster of North Chatham; a son, James (Megin) Ciaccia Jr. of Hudson; two sisters, Helen Hempstead of Berne and Sandy Winters of Cairo; three brothers, Stanley Homeyer of Berne, Phil Homeyer of Westerlo and Mark Homeyer of Greenville. She is also survived by two granddaughters; Alysha and Carly Lauster and her loving companion John. She leaves behind several special nieces and nephews. Roxanne was also predeceased by her brother John Homeyer Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Thomas P Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St, Nassau NY on Saturday April 11, 2015 from 9am-12noon.
Roxanne had wanted to say a very special thanks to the staff at Barnwell who had assisted in her care during her illness.
