Rudolph A. Noeth, Jr.

Rudolph Anton Noeth, Jr., 90, of Nassau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born on October 7, 1934, in Nassau to the late Adelaide E. (Planz) and Rudolph Anton Noeth, Sr., Rudy was a lifelong resident of Nassau.

Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958. After his honorable service, he built a career as an engineer, retiring as a Civil Engineer from the New York State Office of General Services. His commitment to public service extended beyond his professional career. Rudy was deeply involved in his community, serving as a member and chairman of the Town of Nassau Planning Board, and contributing to local organizations as a member of the East Greenbush Transportation Team and the Nassau & Schodack Cemetery Association, where he also served as a board member and Superintendent since 1995.

A devoted member of the Nassau Reformed Church, Rudy served as the church treasurer and was a valued member of the church's dart team. He also dedicated his time as the treasurer of the Community Child Care, Winter Fest, and Ice Castle Committee, leaving a lasting impact on the community events that brought joy to so many.

Rudy was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Donald and Karl Noeth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet A. (Purdy) Noeth, of Nassau; his children, Christian (Sarah) Noeth of Glenville, Mark (Marie) Noeth of Castleton, David (Rita) Noeth of Courtland Manor, Todd (Mary Ellen) Noeth of East Greenbush, and Rebecca (Dan) Tiley of Mooresville, NC. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Noeth, Emma (Shayne) Clarke, Matthew (Allison) Noeth, Jeremy (Chrissie) Noeth, Andrew (Heather) Noeth, Ethan Staats, Evan (Alexandra) Staats, Krysta DeMaria, Jessica Noeth, Devin Bressette, Emery Noeth, and Ava Tiley; and great-grandchildren, Dominic Clarke, Anastasia Noeth, Harlow Noeth, and Schuyler Staats, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.

A funeral service for Rudy will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123. Interment will immediately follow at the Nassau & Schodack Cemetery, Route 203 Nassau, NY 12123. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rudy's family from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rudy's memory to the Nassau Reformed Church, P.O. Box 495 Nassau, NY 12123.
