Winifred (Jones) Latham



Winifred M. Latham, 81, of Nassau was called home to her heavenly father on March 17, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in East Schodack she was the daughter of the late James E. Jones and Mildred I. Gerlach. She was employed for several years at the Fort Orange Paper Company in Castleton. Winnie is survived by her beloved husband, Donald, of 57 years. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 10. She was a lover of baseball and was an angel to all who knew her.

Beloved mother of Ellen (Micky) Ide, Brenda Connolly, Roger (Patricia) Latham and the late Donna Latham, sister of Merton Jones, Nancy McDonald, Mildred McKeon, Deborah Deerfield and the late Phoebe New. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau, Wednesday March 21, at 10:00am and from St. Stephens Lutheran Church, East Schodack at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 20 from 4-8 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, East Schodack
