Barbara E. Brennan

East Greenbush

Barbara E. Brennan of East Greenbush passed away suddenly April 24, 2012 at Teresian House. Born in Endicott NY she was the daughter of the late Frank and May (Klock) Darling. A Large part of Barbara's (Mom's) life was spent in the yellow house on Troy Road in East Greenbush in a whirlwind of constant activity from her eight children, aunts, uncles, cousins, the mother cat, spooky the dog, as well as all of the neighborhood children and possibly a few we didn't know. Barbara's capacity to embrace all that was astounding and inspirational to all who came in contact with her. We will miss you mom.

Barbara is survived by her beloved children, Michael (Mary Ellen) Brennan, Danny (Cathy) Brennan, Mark Brennan, Mary Theresa (Douglas) Mensing, Ann (Thad) Glass, Betty Thomas, Barbara (Gary) Mercer and Joseph (Jody) Brennan. She is the cherished grandmother of Susan (Aaron) Westfall, Patrick (Whitney) Brennan, Rebecca Hart, Christine (Dave) Garrity, Jason (Pixie) Brennan, Dawn (Al) Plue, Melissa Brennan, Mark Brennan, Lauren (Jason) Carkner, Evan (Audrey) Mensing, Matthew and Aili Golubjatnikov, Jared, Jacob and Jennifer Basolt, Gary John, Sarah and Eric Mercer, and Joey and Danielle Brennan. She is also survived by twenty three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the staff and several new but dear friends at Teresian House. Thank you for loving our mom.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration at the Shepherd's House, 673 Columbia Turnpike East Greenbush, Saturday April 28th beginning at 2:00pm followed by a reception upstairs. All are welcome to join us there. Those who wish to send flowers may have them delivered to the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm Street Nassau. Due to the fact that Barbara was a single mother and was surrounded her entire life by children we wish to offer people the opportunity to give a donation to the Victory Christian Church J.C. Club, 118 Quail Street Albany, NY 12206. Online condolences may be offered at Mooneyfuneralhome.com
