Jeannette Root Czapluk was born on Oct. 31, 1922 and died on Christmas Day, 2011. She was married in 1961 to Joseph Czapluk who predeceased her. Jeannette was a former member of the Old Chatham Hunt Club and remained to the care of horses throughout her life. She and her husband were also members of several bridge and other card clubs. A former beautician and real estate agent she managed her horse farm and assisted her husband in his business. As an airplane pilot, motorcycle enthusiast, and tennis player, she enjoyed life to its fullest. She was a consistent and staunch supporter of the SPCA. Contributions in Jeannette's memory may be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society, 125 Humane Society Road, Hudson NY 12534. There will be no services at this time.
