Richard J. Coonradt, 96, of Nassau passed away July 19, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Richard was born in Nassau to Albert and Marion (Goodermote) Coonradt and continued to call Nassau his home for the remainder of his life. Mr. Coonradt worked on the Hoags Farm in Nassau before accepting a position with Sterling-Winthrop in Rensselaer where he drove truck in the yard and was involved with manufacturing before his retirement in 1980. Richard married the late Emma M. Robertson in 1938 and together they raised their family in Nassau. He was a hard worker and loved to work with his hands in the garden and around his yard.

Richard leaves his daughter Marjorie J. Coonradt and his son William R. Coonradt of Nassau. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his brothers Floyd and Vernon Coonradt.

Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau Monday July, 23 at 12:00 noon. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00am to 12:00noon. Interment in Nassau-Schodack Cemetery.
