Michael V. Calautti Jr., 68, of Bolton Landing, formerly of Castleton, passed away on September 15, 2015. Michael grew up in Rensselaer and was the son of the late Michael V. Sr. and Dorothy (Whalen) Calautti and was a graduate of the former St. John's Academy. Michael served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Fleet Marine Force Combat Operations Insignia and two Bronze stars and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal. Mr. Calautti was a retired purchasing manager for Von Roll/ Isola Inc., member of the Bolton Town Zoning Board, member of the NYS Association of Realtors and volunteer for Family Support Services for the Center For Disability Services. Michael loved boating on Lake George and loved his dog Bonnie. He is survived by his loving wife Laureen "Emma" (Costello) Calautti, sons; Matthew and Carl Calautti, daughter, Melissa Longale, brother Francis (Peggy) McDermott, brother-in-law, Allan (Pam) Costello, nieces, Rachel and Emily Costello and Laura (Brett) Daley. He is also survived by several grandchildren. Michael will be interred privately at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. A celebration of Michael's life will be held in the future at a date and time to be announced.
