Obituary of Mark L. Teale

Mark Louis Teale died the morning of October 18, 2015 after a brief illness. Born January 3, 1956, Mark was raised by his parents Charles and Katherine Teale in Loudonville along with his siblings Eric (Laurie), Karen (Andrew DeFeo), Steven (Alison), and Jonathan (Jeanne). After graduating from Shaker High School in 1974 Mark served as an electrician's mate in the U.S. Coast Guard. He then worked for Command Airways and American Airlines in Newburgh, NY before continuing his career as an aircraft mechanic and inspector at the Albany Airport. Most recently he was an industrial hygienist for Cardno ATC. Mark was happiest hunting, reading military history, and discussing the finer points of machinery and ballistics; his priority, however, was spending time with his family on their rural property in southern Rensselaer County. It was there that his resourcefulness and ingenuity allowed him to achieve a measure of self-sufficiency that inspired many to do likewise. Mark will forever be loved and missed by his wife and best friend Erin Quirke, children Chelsea, Travis, and Katherine—of whom he was so proud—and stepson Lyle Woods. Visitation is today at home until burial at 3pm.
