Alan Arthur Laier, 53, of Clifton park passed away on Feb. 13, 2016 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Arthur A. Laier and Jean (Ring) Laier who survives him. Alan was a very friendly individual who loved sports especially the Yankees, Red Sox, local hockey and the Valley Cats. He was a social member of the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company and the Clifton Park Fire Department. In addition to his mother he is survived by his aunts Astrid O'Dell and Eleanor Lansley and his uncle Tony Laier. He is also survived by several cousins. Along with his father he was predeceased by his brother Jeff Erik Laier and uncle Sture Einarsson. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Wednesday Feb. 17 at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Interment will be in the East Nassau Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Alan's memory may be made to the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company P.O. Box 62 Brainard NY 12024.
