Russell Reckner

Russell Reckner, 46, of Nassau was called home suddenly on Feb. 28, 2016. Russ was a friend to everyone who met him, was employed by Chuck Scott Auto where he worked with his very good friends. He was an excellent mechanic and if you needed a hand, Russ was there to lend it. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Laura; his cherished children Alana and Alivia. Son of Joan and Don Reckner; son-in-law of Cathy and Rick LaVoy; brother of Debbie (Butch) Crandall; brother-in-law of Cathy (Scott) Slattery and Kim (Jeremy Bigelow) LaVoy; uncle of Steven, Bobbi, Stephanie, Matt, Micayla, Macenzie, Jason, Nicholas and Aiden. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Friday, March 4 at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday evening March 3, from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Interment will be in Nassau Cemetery.
