Richard Vogel

Vogel, Richard-Nassau- Richard "Dick" Vogel, born in Gloversville passed away on April 11, 2018 at the age of 85. Dick was the second oldest of 15 children and the first son born to the late Margaret and Edward Vogel. He was raised in Albany and attended numerous public and catholic schools, graduating in 1950 from Cathedral Academy and later attending Siena College. He worked for 20 years as the sales manager for Family Record Plan, a photographic plan company out of L.A. California. He managed a group of the finest direct sales people ever assembled. After retiring Dick formed his own similar company, Changing Years Portrait Plan, where he worked until a stroke in 1990 ended his sales career. Dick enjoyed reading and playing board games. He is predeceased by his wife of 45 years Phyllis who died in 1997. He is also predeceased by his son Mark and his siblings, Patricia Seeley, Thomas and Jim Vogel. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia May and Susan (Chris) Arrant; sons, Richard (Ada), John and David Vogel; sisters, Peggy Mulroy, Carol McClone, Joyce Martin, Jeanie and Sharon Vogel; brothers, Edward, Robert, William, John, David and Donald Vogel. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home 11 Elm St. Nassau on Tuesday at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4-7pm. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albany.
