Clyde Varian

Clyde C. Varian, 86, of East Schodack passed away on Aug. 30, 2018 at Riverside Center for Rehab. and Nursing in Castleton. Born in Albany he was the son of the late John and Myrtle Varian. Clyde worked for the East Greenbush Central School District for 30 years before retiring as the head of maintenance. He was an avid reader, enjoyed learning about the history of Albany, loved to cook and had a great sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary Varian; sons, Robert, Richard (Tracy), Peter (Tammy), Paul (Mary), Mike, Brian, Christopher (Katherine) and Keith Varian; daughters, Susan Varian (Sherri), Nancy Varian and Bonnie Austin (David). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. in Nassau on Wednesday at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
