Dear Rick, Terry and Sarah,
I went to school with Bruce all through Plain School and Williams High and graduated with him from Monument Mountain in 1968. I remember him well as a kind and gentle soul and a pleasure to be around. He had many friends, and I am honored to have been counted among them. I am very saddened that he was taken too soon. So glad that he was able to attend and enjoy himself at our 50th high school reunion. He will be missed.
With a heavy heart,
Patty Vincent

I grew up across the street from Bruce and his family in Stockbridge. He was 6 years older than me and I considered him a big brother to me. He was always very kind to me and would sometimes drive me to town so I could hang out with him and his friends. He gave me his stamp collection because he knew I collected stamps. I still have some of them. He had a sheetmetal safe in his room that he kept valuables in with (if I remember correctly) the words "Keep out" written on it in his writing. I always tried to guess the combination and one day, with him present, I managed to crack it (Left to 5 then right to 15). I remember that he was astonished and, he smiled and gave me the safe to keep. I still have it on a shelf at my house 53 years later. I think about him every time I look at it.
I have so many fond memories of my years in Stockbridge and many of them surround Bruce and the Wilcox family.
I am so sorry for your loss.
