I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I liked Bob and respected him very much. His was the backbone of the Nassau Lake Park Association for over 30 years, rarely missing a meeting. In his later years when it became more difficult for him to get around, he still made sure to attend every meeting. Bob served as an officer, Chairman of the Board, Head of the Nominating Committee, Head of the Budget Committee and so many other unofficial roles. He was very committed to keeping Nassau Lake a vibrant place and was willing to do whatever it took to reach that goal. Bob was very smart and courageous. He would state his convictions with passion and intelligence and even if he was the only one to take a stance on one side of an issue, he was unafraid to battle for his position. And yet, he could compromise when needed if he felt his stance was blocking an important decision. The Nassau Lake Park Improvement Association will miss Bob and I will personally miss his energy, intelligence, commitment and strong values. May his memory be a blessing. Paul Krouner

I was blessed to meet Bob at Evergreen, what a whirlwind. Mr. Zimmerman, it was such a pleasure to work with you, such an amazing, intelligent man who worked so hard and always gave it his all. Everyday, I was never sure what you would enlighten me/the staff with, always keeping our attention, amusing stories of your life which sounded so full of wonderful memories. Mrs. Zimmerman, my heart hurts for you, what a sweet, caring lady you are, thoughts and prayers to your family and friends. He will be missed.
