Obituary of Elsie Mae Morey

Elsie Mae Morey Nassau Elsie Mae Morey, 100, of Nassau died October 8, 2011 at the Stonehedge Nursing Home in Chittenango NY. She was retired from the Green Meadow School where she was a secretary. Elsie was a former member of the AARP Chapter 1123, Castleton seniors, and the Nassau Senior Citizens. She was also a former member of the Rocking Chair Bowling League and the Monday bowling league for seniors. She was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Morey, and brothers Raymond A. File and Kenneth File. She is survived by her; son, Terrell J. Morey of Huntingtown Maryland; daughters, Joyce F. Newkirk of Chittenango NY and Carol (Daniel) Broderick of Delmar NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Newkirk, Daniel Broderick, Deborah Valatine, Ryan Morey and six great grandchildren. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, Friday October 14, at 12:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in East Schodack. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 456 Nassau NY 12123.
